Army Sergeant Steven Fader

Army Sergeant Steven Fader enlisted in the military in 2003 to serve his country, and to support his family. He served in the military for over 10 years before honorably separating in July of 2013.

Sergeant Fader went to basic training out of Fort Leonard Wood military base located in the Missouri Ozarks. He deployed to Kuwait with the 32nd Transportation Company in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004, and served in Iraq for a year in an imminent danger area. Sergeant Fader also spent numerous years as an Army recruiter. During his time in the Army, Sergeant Fader suffered numerous service-connected injuries.

Among the commendations received by Sergeant Fader are the Army Commendation Medal (2x), Army Good Conduct Medal (3x), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Gold Recruiter Badge with two star sapphires, and the Driver and Mechanic Badge with Driver-Wheeled Vehicles.

Sergeant Fader, his wife Hollie, and their two children received a mortgage-free home in Mount Washington, Kentucky in 2016.
