Casino & Cigar Night
Building Homes for Heroes Inaugural Casino & Cigar Night took place on Thursday, June 30th at Battery Gardens Restaurant in New York City. The event, which raised over $30,000 to benefit the severely wounded men and women of the military, was held on a picture-perfect evening that included a cocktail hour, buffet, DJ, cigars (donated by Camacho Cigars), and fabulous prizes. Approximately 140 people attended the event including television/movie celebrities Tony Sirico, Dominic Chianese, and Tony LoBianco, and former NHL great Ken Daneyko. Dominic Chianese entertained us by playing his guitar and singing a few songs, and entertainer Tony B sang the National Anthem. Our most important VIPs were Army Specialist Brendan Marrocco of Staten Island and Army Corporal Christopher Levi of Holbrook, Long Island, both Building Homes for Heroes’ home recipients. Special thanks go out to the event’s planning committee: Tom Greene, Roger Corrado, Anthony Grisanti, Carolyn Paszke, Rob Stasi and Scott Porto. Building Homes for Heroes would also like to thank ICE Futures US (members, clerks and employees), NYMEX members, and, of course, our Platinum Sponsor Vincent Pepe, VIP Commodities, Ltd. for making this event a very successful and memorable evening.
