Evanchik Family NJ Golf Outing Sets a New Record
On May 16, 2011, Building Homes for Heroes held its 4th Annual New Jersey golf outing at the Battleground Country Club in Manalapan, NJ. The event was a record-breaker, raising $75,000 to support the severely wounded men and women of the military. Among those in attendance were Sergeant Mary Herrera – Arizona Army National Guard, Army Staff Sergeant William Castillo, Army Sergeant Joel Tavera, and Specialist Robert Jackson – Iowa Army National Guard, who attended with his wife Abby and daughters Brilynn and Hailey. Each veteran shared their inspirational story with attendees during the event.
Once again, Jason Evanchik of Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation was responsible for making the day an enormous success; the result of many months of work. Building Homes for Heroes would like to extend its gratitude to Audrey Evanchik and the entire Evanchik family for putting forth so much time, and organizing and carrying out the golf outing for the fourth straight year. Special thanks go to the Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation, Jennifer Jordano from Michael Kors Corporation, The Monmouth County Police Pipes and Drums, Amanda Fugel, Carolyn Paszke of Building Homes for Heroes, the staff at Battleground County Club and all the volunteers for all they did to make this event our best yet.
