Wow... Nearly $86,000 Raised!
Evanchik Family Golf Outing Raises Nearly $86,000!
on April 29, 2013, Building Homes for Heroes held its 6th Annual New Jersey golf outing at the Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township, NJ. The event, which was hosted by Jason Evanchik and family for the sixth consecutive year, was a tremendous success. Nearly $86,000 was raised in support of the severely wounded men and women of the military; a record-matching accomplishment for the New York and New Jersey golf events. Building Homes for Heroes anticipates building or renovating up to 30 homes throughout the country in 2013.
Among those in attendance at the event were Army Staff Sergeant William Castillo, Army Staff Sergeant Aaron Hale, USMC Sergeant Gregory Caron, and USAF Tech. Sergeant Joseph Deslauriers. SSG Hale, who recently moved into a new home in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and SGT Caron, who will be moving into a new home in Ellington, Connecticut later this year, both addressed the audience. SSG Castillo carried out a stirring rendition of the Fallen Comrade Table.
Building Homes for Heroes would like to extend its gratitude to Jason & Audrey Evanchik, and their amazing family and friends for building such a successful annual event. Building Homes for Heroes would also like to extend special thanks to Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation for leading the way as this year's largest supporter.
