2nd Team Building Event unites military families
Building Homes for Heroes’ 2nd Annual Team Building Event united nearly nearly 200 veterans, spouses, children and care providers in Orlando, Florida from July 7-10 for three days of fun-filled activities and team-based competition, while promoting an environment of camaraderie, companionship, family happiness and friendship. The event aims to forge bonds and friendships that last a lifetime while bolstering a far-reaching network of support among veterans.
The veterans -- all of whom have already or will soon receive mortgage-free homes from Building Homes for Heroes – accompanied by their spouses and their children, took part in fun activities like boat building and racing, basketball and golf challenges, a corn hole contest and a scavenger hunt.
Participants were divided into four teams – blue, grey, red and white – and accumulated points for all activities. After three days of spirited competition, the Red Team emerged victorious at this year’s event.
The week was full of fun, laughter, tears of joy and merriment. Building Homes for Heroes thanks all of the veterans and their families who attended the 2016 Team Building, and we hope to see you next year!
